A wrinkle in the Earth’s crust, Waterpocket Fold is the park’s signature geologic feature. This monocline is a dramatic landscape of canyons, cliffs, domes and spires extending north from Lake Powell. The Fremont River supports animal life and pioneer-era fruit orchards in a desert environment.
