Crater Lake Traveler

Crater Lake and Wizard Island occupy a deep volcanic basin formed by Mount Mazama’s eruption and collapse more than 7,700 years ago. The cold, clear lake water, considered to be some of the purest water on Earth, plunges to a maximum depth of 1,943 feet, making Crater Lake the nation’s deepest.
